~Application~
CHARACTER
Name: Felicia
Canon: Darkstalkers / Vampire Savior
Gender: Female
Age: 46 as of 2013, looks to be in her late 20s-early 30s (Born in 1967)
Wing Color: Powder Blue
Canon Point: After the Darkstalkers 3 ending, Felicia became a nun and founded an orphanage called "Felicity House".
Canon Point Explanation: Figuring where the last of the Darkstalkers games left off, it would be perfectly plausible to work from canon / non-canon to have her transported to the Lucetiverse after creating the Felicity House.
History: Capcom Wiki
Personality: Felicia is a rather friendly individual, wanting to make others happy and further herself as a singer and dancer. She is always looking for the goodness in others. She enjoys the company of nice people, loves singing, dancing, and chasing mice. She also enjoys fish and milk as well. Very feline in nature. Despite her skills as a fighter she actually dislikes fighting, but will do so only if necessary. A bit naive at times, but all in all a very optimistic female. She adores children and kitties, for obvious reasons. Always up to cheer someone up or perform a dancing or singing number for then, she is ready for pretty much anything, and is very eager to please. One of her quotes in the Darkstalkers games is "Why can't everyone be happy?" and she goes out to basically make sure that everyone is.
Felicia is also very feline in both nature and physical aspects, and is able to purr and meow and communicate easily with other felines and catpeople. Easily distracted by moving things, particularly string, butterflies, mice and fish, she is a bit A.D.D in a sense, which makes for some hilarity and comical moments.
A bit naive, Feli can be somewhat bubbleheaded, easily goaded into doing something and potentially regretting the outcome later. In the long run, her friendly nature keeps her going, for both herself and those around her.
Felicia knew she wanted to bridge the gap between humans and Darkstalkers by wanting to become a musical star in order to bring peace between the two sides. (Darkstalkers 2 Ending CS) Due to the prejudice of herself and her fellow Darkstalkers, however, things turned bitter at a concert of a fellow creature, Lord Raptor. Hunters attacked, and the pair fought their way out, becoming separated. (Nightwarriors: The Darkstalker's Revenge)
After meeting up with a werewolf named John Talbain, Felicia and he saved a town from mechanical beings called Huitzuls, and Feli swore to herself that she would find a way for humans and her kind to live in harmony, and began to pursue her dream as a singer and dancer.
She is physically fit, but still has a playful and girlish demeanor. Her senses are much keener than that of a humans, and she is able to discern most scents that a normal human would not be able to pick up on, which could be a blessing or a curse for her, depending on the scent. Her eyes are catlike, which makes sunlight a bit of a hassle for her. She prefers moving about more at night, where she can easily creep about undetected.
Strengths
Mental: Feli tries to be very optimistic, no matter what the situation will be. Eager to please, she is constantly looking for ways to cheer people up, and will do nothing short of (almost) anything within reason. She has a strong maternal sense and will assist with various needs, such as cooking, cleaning, and caring for young children and animals. Felicia is a dreamer, one in whom will do as much as possible to attain her goals. At the end of Darkstalkers 2, she succeeds in becoming a famous singer and dancer. Due to the nature of her race, the Cat-women, seem to have a calming effect on those human beings around them. She is very attentive to others' needs and will do what she can to help out.
Emotional: Very peppy and upbeat, Felicia tries to keep the people around her as happy as possible, doing as much as she can to cheer them up. Almost always smiling and has a good word for everyone. Protective of those needing protecting, she will fight only if absolutely necessary, but for the most part is a peaceful spirit. Feli is very even-tempered, and is rarely, if ever, angry. She smiles as much as she can, believing that happiness is the key to everything, and that good things will come no matter what. She practically oozes positivity, which could be somewhat of an annoyance to more realistic or pessimistic people.
Weaknesses
Mental: If pushed to think negatively, she becomes somewhat withdrawn. Despite being optimistic all the time she CAN get bouts of sadness, especially if she's lost a friend/companion or cannot make someone happy. Inwardly, Feli can be a bit insecure of herself, try as she might to hide it. For example, if unable to help someone out, she may feel inadequate, or even useless. She will try to hide it to the best of her ability, but in severe cases she may hole herself up or go off by herself to try and get her mind straight. On some occasions she may even prowl about in cat form, simply to alleviate the stresses of being semi-human. If out and about in humanoid form, however, she usually wears her habit and smock, or pants and jacket to hide her fur covered limbs.
Emotional: Felicia can be prone to feelings of insecurity, particularly if she fails at a task, mission or ability. She wears her heart on her sleeve and when she falls, she falls pretty deep. Despite having an optimistiic attitude, she inwardly holds a somewhat pessimistic nature, particularly in scenarios of doom and gloom. She can be easily manipulated through her emotions as well.
Anything else?: Just wanted to clarify that she is able to transform into a domestic housecat. If this is not all right, feel free to let me know.
SAMPLES (ALL SAMPLES MUST BE SET IN THE LUCETIVERSE)
First Person: Training Wings Thread
Third Person:
Felicia enjoyed the night. Not only was it the perfect time to relax and be at ease with herself, it was also the best time to catch mice. Old habits die hard, and this habit was certainly a hard one to break, especially for someone like her.
Padding along silently in the dim-lit alleyway, she paused, her snow-white cat ears flicking around to catch any rustlings or squeaking that could signify a rat or a mouse. What she found, however ,was a rustling not of rodent feet, but of a box of abandoned kittens, mewling and hungry.
"Oh, you poor things.." she whimpered softly, crouching down to examine the six tiny lives in that molding cardboard box. Her instincts got the best of her, and, looking around in one of the rubbish bins, found an old dusty blanket, putting the kittens into it and making a small bundle, heading to her little residence to give the little fuzzballs proper nutrition.
Arriving at her apartment, she headed within, finding a heating pad in her closet and setting the little bundle of kittens upon it on the couch, turning the heat on low to keep the little ones warm. Rummaging about in her fridge, the took out some milk, watering it down a little and warming it up in a small mug.
The kittens were moving about much more once she returned back to them, purring softly and meowing in comfort to them. She picked up the first one, dipping a new sponge into the milk, and, after checking the temperature on her cheek, offered the milk-soaked sponge to her tiny charge.
The tiny thing wasted no time nursing, sucking on the sponge greedily, starting a cacophony of tiny mews from its siblings. Felicia painstakingly nursed every single kitten, then, once all that was done, used a damp washcloth to clean them all. Once they were asleep once again in a fluffy, purring pile, she smiled, curling up on the couch next to them. Once they were old enough and strong enough, she'd find them all good homes, but, for now, they'd stay with her.
And she was more than happy to have them.
